Of 57 Alpharetta food businesses inspected Sept. 3 to Oct. 2, 46 hold an A and 11 a B. How scores work and where to look them up: 770-520-7500.

Last checked 2026-10-03. Scores come from the Fulton County Board of Health’s public inspection database, searched Oct. 3, 2026. An inspection score is a snapshot of conditions on the day of the inspection. It is not a rating of food quality, and a lower score does not mean anyone became ill.

The Fulton County Board of Health inspects and permits restaurants, cafeterias, food trucks and other food service businesses across the county, including Alpharetta. It says it covers more than 6,000 food service establishments. Each inspection gets a score out of 100 and a letter grade.

How Georgia grades restaurants

Grade Score
A 90 to 100
B 80 to 89
C 70 to 79
U (unsatisfactory) 69 or less

The grade scale is printed on the inspection database. Inspectors check for the hazards the county lists on its food service page: cross-contamination, improper cooking and handling, food held at the wrong temperature, contaminated water, garbage disposal, and insects and rodents. The database lists each inspection separately, so a follow-up inspection appears as its own dated entry.

Georgia’s inspection rules and the state food code are published by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Method

We searched the county database by city (“Alpharetta”), food inspections only, for Sept. 3 to Oct. 3, 2026. The database matches on mailing address, so a few results sit just outside city limits but use an Alpharetta address; the Waffle House on Medlock Bridge Road, for example, carries a 30097 ZIP code. Senior living communities with kitchens are included because the county inspects them as food service establishments. We report scores as the database shows them and do not add our own judgment. A business that wants to note a follow-up inspection not yet in the database can contact us.
