An index of current Alpharetta zoning hearings, alcohol license applications and Fulton County notices, with links to Georgia's official notice site.
Last checked 2026-10-03. This page is an index, not the official publication. Legal notices in Georgia are published in each county’s designated newspaper, its legal organ, and on the government’s own notice pages, linked below. Those are the official texts. We summarize notices so you can find the ones that affect you.
Where the official notices are
- Statewide public notice site: georgiapublicnotice.com, run by the Georgia Press Association; search by county (Fulton) or city (Alpharetta)
- City of Alpharetta hearings: the city’s Public Hearings page; questions to Planning & Zoning, 678-297-6070
- Fulton County Board of Commissioners: the county’s Public Notices page; questions to the Clerk to the Commission, 404-612-8200
- City agendas: the meeting portal
Fulton County’s legal organ
The Georgia Press Association’s 2026 list of legal organs (PDF) names the South Fulton Neighbor as Fulton County’s legal organ. The Fulton County Sheriff’s tax sales page says its listings of properties for sale run in the newspaper’s Wednesday edition for four weeks before each sale. The Board of Commissioners says its notices appear in the county legal organ and are posted in the Government Center.
The Georgia Press Association says more than 400,000 notices a year are published on georgiapublicnotice.com by Georgia’s legal organ newspapers. Its search lists Fulton County publications including the Alpharetta-Roswell Herald, the Fulton County Daily Report and the South Fulton Neighbor.

What this means for you
- In most city zoning cases the CZIM comes first, before any vote; it is the earliest meeting where neighbors can ask questions.
- For anything with a legal deadline, rely on the official notice, not this index.
